Hair-Oh!

So, along with dresses for weddings, another thing to think about, obviously, is hair!  I am currently undecided when it comes to what kind of updo (Abbey-Shae has specified she wants updos, which is just fine by me!  I prefer updos, in fact.  It's way nicer in the summer, and you don't really have to worry about your curls really flopping.  I mean, yes, updos can come out, but even when they start to, they often still look nice!)

To the right is a French twist, which I've always like the look of, but have never had a chance to wear, myself.  They are quite elegant, I think!  But at the same time, I do wonder if it's too 'simple.'  Very pretty, though.  I'm also debating the bang situation.  Last haircut I got, I had front bangs, but they have now completely grown out into very long side bangs (it's been a while since I've been to the hair dresser)!  So, I'm wondering if I should stick with side bangs (and get them cut and styled, obviously), or go back to front bangs.  I do love front bangs, and they suit me quite well, I think.

To the right, we have a low updo.  (A lowdo?)  I love this kind!  Of course, I wouldn't be wearing that sparkly headband, and as I said, the bang debate comes into play here.  I think if I got this hairstyle, I'd get front bangs.  I've always had an affinity for the more low-style of updos (again, lowdos?)

To the left, is the first Taylor Swift updo I found.  I think Taylor Swift has very similar hair to mine in lot of ways - well, except, mine is not naturally curly (well, it was when I was little).  Basically, her straight hair is almost the same as my natural hair.  So, she's a good person to model potential updos!  Plus, I think hers are always so classy!  To the right is another Taylor updo (lowdo) - actually quite similar to the other one I found.  I've never had a side bun like this, so it might be fun to try!  I also love the way the curliness of her hair is incorporated into the bun.  So pretty!  It's very romantic, I think.

To the left is another hairdo I'm considering!  I like the way this one looks - I think, because it reminds me of my ballet roots.  So pretty and fun!  Though, do you think too casual?  Maybe it's best to go with something a little more complicated or something?  I mean, not being good with hair at all, I probably could still pull this off by myself.  It's basically a sock bun with a braid, right?  But still, super lovely.

The last hairdo I found is one with Keira Knightley, with a more side bang.  Quite pretty, I think.  She almost has a twist-thing going on.  I like it!  But there are so many hairstyles to consider!  What direction should I go in?  Good news is, there's a long time to decide still!

Hair or There.

Hey, all.
Updates on Shell's wedding (and Sydnee's, and Rosie's!) coming soon, I promise.  But for now, just some pretty updos I  found on "The Knot"...  :)

I Found It!

What is "it," you may ask? The picture of the wedding make-up (and hair!) that Shell loved so much while we were at Chapters on Friday together. Isn't it stunning???

Just 'Do it.

Let me start this post, not by talking about hairdos (even though that's what the title is about), but make-up. I just love this photo of Jessica Simpson (even if I don't like the woman herself). Look at her smokey eye! And the pretty-in-pink lip! I love this look. And her hair is actually really pretty, too.
But now, onto more hair-specific photos. I'm not exactly sure what I think about this updo. I kind of like it, but there's something that feels a little off about it... Not too sure what, though... Hmmm....
This next one is very pretty! I just wish the bun was a little bigger, maybe? But gaw-juss.

I love the simplicity of this next photo, and the colour of the model's hair! I'm a blondie, so it gives me some ideas as to what this kind of hair would look like on me. :)

These next two photos are of Eva Longoria, and my, my! How beautiful her hair looks! I love the look of curls pulled up into an updo, and Eva's hairstylist pulled it off magnificently. This, I think is my inspiration photo right now, for my far-distant-wedding.

I like the romantic idea of this photo. I like the tuimbling down of curls, with the little ornamental thingy-s in her hair. It's not quite 'soft' enough, I think, for my tastes, but I still really like it! ;)

I like this next one, too. Again, it's a blonde model, as you might be able to tell haha. And again, I like the idea of the curls pulled back into the updo. There's something very romantic about it. I think she needs some lost tendrils framing her face, though.

I love this look right here. Very modern, very fresh, but still a kind of throw-back in time. Something almost Austen-ian, I dare say? But in any case, gaw-juss, again.

Anyhoo. Just some pics about hair. No biggy. :)

Zu's, Blues, Shoes, and 'Dos.

Well, it's been a while, once again, since I last posted. Mostly it's because I've been not at home (again). But, fear not. I shall return full force next week.
For now, here are some thoughts of the day...
1) This is not at all related to weddings, but to the world of blogging. My friend Abbey-Shae made her own blog. You can check it out at caughtbythezu.blogspot.com . Very cool. Especially since it was hard enough getting her to check her email. Having a blog is a very big step for her, and I'm so proud of her haha!! :P Love you, Abbey-Shae!! :)
2) Ok, this isn't strictly related to weddings either, BUT there's this guy (which is an important part of a wedding, right?)... And of course, I really like him. I just can't seem to get over him no matter what. And I don't know what to do, because I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me back. Sigh. Oh boys... How they complicate life... It's just... so... so... so frustrating. But I know God has a plan for my life and He has it under control.
3) K, I was thinking about shoes for weddings. Flats? Heels? Converse? Haha. Actually, I bet my friend Leigha would do the last one. She is in love with Converse shoes. I actually don't really like high-tops that much. The, what would you call them? Low-tops? are ok, but yeah. ANYHOO. Flats would be easy to dance in, but heels are always nice because they give you that extra height. I don't know. Hmm... I am in love with flats, but heels are wonderful, too.
4) Ok, hairdos. That's the other thing I've been thinking about. Would you have your hair up or down for the wedding? I really love the look of barrel curls, but the thing is my hair doesn't hold a curl very well and it would totally flop by the end of the day (well, more like the beginning of the day!!) ... There are some gorgeous up-dos out there, and I'm thinking of having one for when I get married. Hmm hm hm...

So yeah. That's all for now. Just some thoughts that have been circling my head all day... All week... For a while...
