Goin' Campin'

I have some stuff to blog about, but I won't be able to for a week-ish at least, because I am off to camp to intern. I just came back from our kids camp, and now I'm headed off to youth camp! Woohoo! Can't wait.
But, sorry. That means you have to wait a while....

Venues

I've been thinking about where, should I be getting married, I would have my wedding and reception. Would I like to be married in a church? I actually don't think I'd like to be married in my church. I don't know. I love my church. But I don't think I'd like to get married in it. It's just... I don't know. I can't describe why I wouldn't want to. (Weird, huh?) I think if I got married in a church, I'd like to get married in a little chapel, with stained-glass windows and a cute little garden in the front (maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic). My cousin got married in a little chapel like that in Europe, but unfortunately in North America, those kind of chapels are hard to come by... But it would be so sweet! (And unfortunately, I won't be able to do a destination wedding.)
Another option is getting married on the beach. I'd love it. The only problem is that what if the weather doesn't co-operate? The fact is, where I live, the weather never co-operates. It's hot when you don't want it to be, and it rains when you don't want it to. But it would be nice to get married on a beach! Though, how does that work? Do you rent part of the beach for the day? Or do you just let passerbyers just walk in on your wedding?
Another option is having a garden wedding. The only thing is, again, with the weather. How reliable is the weather in my area? Not at all. Though, you COULD rent out those big tents you sometimes see. That might be nice. But what if it was actually POURING on the day of your wedding? Would the tents be sufficient?
One other option, sort of like the garden wedding, is having it on a place like a golf course. There's this luxurious golf club in my town, and I've perused its website, and they do weddings and the location is GORGEOUS. AND they have an indoor option if the weather decides it doesn't like you that day. The only thing is, it's expensive.
So yeah. Options. Lots of options. With pros and cons, each of them. Hmmm.... Well, the good news is I have a long time to decide!! Haha.

Cinderella Dressed in Yella

I'm thinking I'm really loving yellow. It's such a happy colour!

It makes me happy. Just thought you'd like to know.

Haha, oh dear... Make sure your parents like your Honey... or else...

Wow. Need I say more?

A Jane Austen Wedding

I love Jane Austen.
Love, love, love. (I mean, some of my girlfriends and I even refer to the guys we like by Jane Austen hero names... how silly and juvenile is that? Haha. ...My guy's Bingley, by the way. Just so you know... HAHA)

I'm reading The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet by Colleen McCullough right now, and it's put me into a Jane Austenian mood. (If you couldn't tell before!)

So, I decided to look up some Jane-Austen-inspired weddings. And here's one that I found...
From www.bridalwave.tv/get_the_look/2.html

Maybe Jane Austen is actually the reason I love empire-waisted dresses so much?

Weddings, weddings, and more weddings

Lately, I feel like everyone's been getting married. Or having babies.
Well, not EVERYONE.
But, wow. August is a popular time to get married, apparently...
Just makes me think... when will I get married?

More Kleinfeld Dresses

Luci DiBella - Love this one!!
Lazaro...
Henry Roth...
Anne Barge...
Alita Graham...

I officially LOVE Augusta Jones

Found these all on the Kleinfeld site (you know, the New York store from "Say Yes to the Dress" ?). They are GORGEOUS. Exactly what I'd be looking for should I be getting married right now. They're very fresh, clean, simple dresses, yet they have a sweetness about them, and I LOVE them.

"Autumn"
"Allegra"
"Ashten"

Just thought this was cute!

(Sorry, I don't remember where I got this from... perhaps another blog? Sorry!!)
