A Fun Day with Abbey-Shae

Hello!

I am just on the bus, passing by my favourite wedding shop and I thought I'd try to do a post on my phone! So far it's working. Yay, technology.

Well, yesterday I had a great day - I was hanging out with Abbey-Shae all afternoon and evening. It was fantastic to finally hang out, and we ended up, in the evening, going to dance practice for the play she's involved in. It was great to dance again! I miss it so much. After dance, my parents picked us up and we made a pit stop at Superstore. Abbey and I went in as well, and found a whole bunch of clothes on sale! I bought a green, cotton dress; a pale pink tank top with sequins on it; a lime green and white striped tank top; an emerald green T-shirt; and a pale purple tank top. It cost me about $45 which is pretty good, I think, because it averages out to about $9 per item! Yay for deals.

Then, when I got home, I found a package had come for me; Rosie had sent me and Abbey the fabric we need for our tops. It was different than what I thought it would be. I was expecting chiffon, but it was shiny, some sort of fake satin kind of fabric. There is just quite a bit of confusion going on here about the dresses and I'm a bit anxious to see how it turns out!

But I think that's all for now. I'll talk to you all later.
xo.

Work, and Weddings.

Hey all!

I know it's been almost a month since my last post. For that, I'm sorry! Things have just been so BUSY. I miss the days when summer meant doing whatever I felt like: sleeping in, going swimming, reading books FOR FUN (ew textbooks), hanging out with friends, seeing lots of movies.... Now my days are full of working at my job at Starbucks, and a whole bunch of other stuff. It feels like I was at work all day today, which in a way, I was. I had a shift from 11:15am to 7:30pm, and I got there at 10:30am because of the bus schedule. And the last 3-4 hours were SOOO incredibly slow... Like, really. Dead quiet. Normally, that could be a good thing. There are always things to stock, or wash, or something like that. And I was on pre-close today, which meant that I had to wash a whole bunch of our plastic wears, sweep and mop the floors, and clean the bathrooms. But, I got all my pre-close duties done WAAAY ahead of schedule, just because there weren't many customers. And so then, I dusted. And watered our plant. And stocked everything I could think of. And wiped down the counter and condiment stand like a million times. And made sure we had coffee brewing. But then, everything was done. It was just one of those days that went by so slowly, and I just had to keep looking for things to do. Good news is, the store looked immaculate and my co-worker and I got a lot of things done for the barista who was closing. And it was nice to work with my co-worker because she's been on sick leave up until recently and this was the first time I had had the chance to work with her since she got back.

But ANYWAYS.

Work rant.

I'm sure you all wanted to read about that. :) Haha.

So. Weddings.

Man, there are so many coming up. Rosamund's is in just a couple of weeks, and I'm already looking forwards to what I'm going to wear... I have a couple of dresses in mind, but I'm not sure. Or, of course, I could use her wedding as an excuse to buy a new dress. ;) I'm really looking forward to attending the wedding, especially as a guest! No planning for that one haha!

Rosie's wedding is looming on the horizon as well. I'm a bit nervous about the dress situation as we don't have the bridesmaids' ones made at all yet. I haven't even seen what the pattern or fabric for it looks like. Gulp. And it's been SO hard to co-ordinate with all the bridesmaids because 1. I don't know all of them. And 2. Most of them live in a different part of the country, or even a different country all together. Sooo... it should be interesting. But I'm sure things will work out.

Shell's wedding still has a while to go, before the big day. And I'm so sad that I haven't been able to get together with her and really talk 'wedding' yet. She and I are SUCH weddingaholics (in case you didn't know I was one!) and so I really can't wait to plan with her. She's looking at a pink and brown (or maybe champagne?) colour scheme, with brown bridesmaids' dresses and pink bouquets. PRETTY, right? :)

Ahh. So many weddings!!!
