Piece of Cake!

Hmm... Or maybe I should say Mmmm...

I've been looking at some cake pictures online. Boy, are there some creative ideas out there! Here are a few cakes I found on http://www.layersweddingcakes.com/ . Very cool!

I like the simple elegance of this cake. It's modern, yet it's classy. Very neat.

This cake is just crazy! All I can say is, "wow!"

Alternately, instead of a cake, I've heard of some weddings that opted for cupcakes instead! Very cute, and I bet a lot cheaper!

I love this cake. It's just so happy. (It kind of reminds me of your grad dress, Rosie, don't you think? Side note. ;) )

This cake is just gorgeous. I mean, look at the flowers! I love it.

I heart this next cake. I especially love the bee on top, and the whole whimsical design. So cute!

Some cakes can look like objects.

Like this present-shaped cake, for instance! So creative!

Or this next one...

Isn't it AMAZING????

... I almost wouldn't even want to eat any of these cakes!!!!

To Top It Off...

Well, I have a had a busy weekend. Our Girl's Night Out that we had was AMAZING, though. My friends Shell, Leigha, Abbey-Shae, and Rosie all came. We had SUCH a great time, laughing, talking, taking pictures, eating at a good restaurant. The only thing was "The Ugly Truth" wasn't so good. But ah well. We had a great time.
So. On with wedding stuff. I have been looking at pictures of cake toppers, and some of them are so cute!! Here are some pictures from http://www.hugeweddingsavings.com/ .

Dress-Up

So, I know I haven't posted again for a while. I've been pretty busy at work. But I'm so excited because today we're having a Girl's Night Out. I went shopping with Abbey-Shae and Leigha on Thursday, and Abbey and I both bought dresses. Mine's a black and white one from Reitmans (which I'm wearing with green accessories. I tried to find green shoes, but no such luck!!) and Abbey-Shae's is black and purple from Sears. We're all dressing up and going to go out to eat and seeing "The Ugly Truth." We were going to see "My Sister's Keeper" but it wasn't playing anymore at the theatre we're going to. Sad face.

But yeah. Anyways. Tangent. I'm supposed to be talking about weddings.

Here are some bridesmaid dresses I found that I thought were really cute!

I like a lot about this green one- first, the colour's stunning, I think. I also love the chiffon-y, flowy-ness of it, and the whole cut. Very cute. (Sorry, I don't know where I found this one.)

This is Maggy London, and I love it! I love the colour of it - very fun and happy! I also love the embellishment under the bust and on the straps. Also, it's an empire-waisted dress and I love those types of dresses! Very flattering on most women! ;)

This is a custom MJM dress, and I love the colour and cut of it. Very pretty.

This one, again, I don't know where it's from. Oops! I didn't write it down. But, there are so many things about this dress that I like. I like the little satin sash on it, and again, the flowy-ness, and also the sweet-heart neckline. The colour could have a little less orange hues, but I still really love it.

Wow. I just noticed that all these dresses are green or yellow. Hmm... (I really do love yellow, though!!)

Well, more later!

Zu's, Blues, Shoes, and 'Dos.

Well, it's been a while, once again, since I last posted. Mostly it's because I've been not at home (again). But, fear not. I shall return full force next week.
For now, here are some thoughts of the day...
1) This is not at all related to weddings, but to the world of blogging. My friend Abbey-Shae made her own blog. You can check it out at caughtbythezu.blogspot.com . Very cool. Especially since it was hard enough getting her to check her email. Having a blog is a very big step for her, and I'm so proud of her haha!! :P Love you, Abbey-Shae!! :)
2) Ok, this isn't strictly related to weddings either, BUT there's this guy (which is an important part of a wedding, right?)... And of course, I really like him. I just can't seem to get over him no matter what. And I don't know what to do, because I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me back. Sigh. Oh boys... How they complicate life... It's just... so... so... so frustrating. But I know God has a plan for my life and He has it under control.
3) K, I was thinking about shoes for weddings. Flats? Heels? Converse? Haha. Actually, I bet my friend Leigha would do the last one. She is in love with Converse shoes. I actually don't really like high-tops that much. The, what would you call them? Low-tops? are ok, but yeah. ANYHOO. Flats would be easy to dance in, but heels are always nice because they give you that extra height. I don't know. Hmm... I am in love with flats, but heels are wonderful, too.
4) Ok, hairdos. That's the other thing I've been thinking about. Would you have your hair up or down for the wedding? I really love the look of barrel curls, but the thing is my hair doesn't hold a curl very well and it would totally flop by the end of the day (well, more like the beginning of the day!!) ... There are some gorgeous up-dos out there, and I'm thinking of having one for when I get married. Hmm hm hm...

So yeah. That's all for now. Just some thoughts that have been circling my head all day... All week... For a while...
