Two pretty photos.

I really love this dress. I think it's the kind of dress I'd like to eventually get married in. I love the flowy-ness and the lace, and even the colour I don't mind. Just a very pretty dress. ;)

I also love these flowers. Calla lillies are one of my favourite flowers, and I love them in this bouquet with the white roses. Stunning.

So This is Love.

Just a lovely, old-fashioned themed photo. :)

Put a Ring on it

I realized just the other day I didn't have any pictures of engagement rings on this blog yet. Quite peculiar. Perhaps this is because I view it as the man's job to pick out a ring so he can propose (I always do wonder how he knows your ring size haha), though I do think it's cute when a couple picks out a ring together. Anyways, here are a few from my travels around the internet. I should have written down where they're from, but I didn't. Bad me.

This first one is a very unconventional ring, but I really love it! It's unique and yet not too wacky, I think. And the ring below it could be for the groom. :)

Here is another slightly unconventional engagement ring, with a pearl in it. I really love pearls, though admittedly not on all rings. But I think this ring is really gorgeous.

Another pearl one that I like. It kind of reminds me of my mom's engagement ring for some reason, though I'm not sure why, because her's doesn't have a pearl in it at all. But what a beautiful ring.

One of the more 'standard' engagement rings. I like the simplicity of it, though. Very classy.

Another simple ring. I really like the circular cut of the diamond. Square ones just aren't my thing at all.

This is a slightly unique wedding ring - and it's two in one! (I'm pretty sure anyways!) One is the engagement ring and the other is the wedding ring.

This is a bit of a flashier ring, but I think it's really stunning. Though, I'm totally not expecting this kind of ring for when I get engaged. But it's still nice to look at! ;)

Some Pics.

Hey-lo todos.
Sorry, it's been a while since I blogged again. Life is really crazy, as always. But here are some pictures to cheer you up. :) I actually can't remember where I got these from, but I think it was from OnceWed. The colour scheme reminds me of pink lemonade. And I like the bride's dress. though, I would never wear that hat thing myself. But still.

Kindda cute, right?

Pom-Pom, Can You Do the Pom-Pom...?

Here's a kind of neat Do-It-Yourself project I found on Martha Stewart that would be great for a wedding! It looks pretty simple to do, as well, and I think they could add some colour to the reception (or ceremony even). And they'd probably be pretty cheap to make since all you need is some packages of tissue paper and wire!

Here are the steps, as per Martha Stewart's website:
1. Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inchwide accordion folds, creasing with each fold.

2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.

3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.

4. Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging.
And here's a great idea - you can make them into napkin rings! Here are the directions to to that:

Napkin Rings
With just a few changes, these follow the same steps as the hanging pom-poms.

1. Stack four sheets of tissue. Cut a 10-by-5-inch rectangle, going through all layers. Make 3/8-inch-wide accordion folds.
2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, slip over center of tissue, and twist to secure. Trim ends of tissue.
3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
4. Bend wire into a loop to fit around napkin, and twist end around loop to secure.

Colour the World... Or a Wedding

Here are some different colour scheme ideas for weddings. All of these photos were found at veganbride.com with the exception of the lemon one, which I found on the "Say Yes to the Dress" website... :)

The Ever Classy Black and White...

LOVE this. Isn't it unique, yet elegant?

Aren't these white tulips lovely? There's something beautiful about them. I also love the hints of green in these photos. Adds a modern touch, I think.

The Cute and Girly Pink, a Wedding Favourite

I love this shade of pink! It's so sweet, like blush pink or bubblegum pink. So much fun. And I love this picture! I SO want a jumping picture for my wedding. Though, do you think it's too "High School Musical?" Haha.

Isn't this a cute idea? Though, I would've hated to be the one who had to manually stick each flower individually into the ground!

The Fresh and Sweet Yellow and Green

I love this programme - so simple, yet so beautiful.

I really love this idea for a centrepiece! It gives the room a fresh scent, as well, apparently, to use fresh fruit. Apparently, this is a DIY project, though I don't think I could EVER make a vase look this beautiful. Sigh... Maybe I should be taking flower arranging courses at school, rather than English.

Again, aren't tulips sp lovely?! I just love the pale yellow colour of these tulips. So pretty!

This is kind of the vision, almost, I'd want my wedding to look like, though with perhaps a different tone of yellow, and flowy dresses. Though, I still really like this picture!

Ten/Ten/Ten

Happy 10/10/10! [And Canadian Thanksgiving!] :)
Yesterday I finally had a chance to go out for coffee with Sydnee. It was sooo nice. I've missed chatting with her. And good news is, on the wedding front, the guys are all set to go with their tuxes and and ties and boutonnieres and cuff links and all that. :) So that's good - one thing crossed off the big List. We still need to go bridesmaid dress shopping, and Sydnee needs to buy her dress (though she pretty much knows which one she's going to go for). But yeah. We really need to get going! Only about nine months 'til the big day!! I'm so excited for Sydnee, though. I can't believe she's getting married, sometimes. I mean, I've known her since we were both about ten years old, and I never imagined that I'd be standing up beside her on her wedding day. It's so lovely, when I think about it. She's been one of my best friends for such a long time, and I'm so happy for her, that she found Keegan and is genuinely happy with him. She deserves the best! Love you, Syd! <3

Blah-de-Blah-de-Blah

This morning I had a lovely text-athon with Sydnee while on the bus to school. Though, it's sad, we still haven't been able to get together, which is partly my fault. As Sydnee said, I'm "busier than the president" this semester haha. Yes, it's true. Unfortunately. My days are spent either at school or at church, and I don't get home until about 10 every night. Though, I'm having a lot of fun with the church play I'm involved in. Did I tell you about that? I don't have a big part or anything, but it's still wonderful. It's going to be a fifties style dinner theatre, and my friend Abbey-Shae and I (and about a dozen or so others) are Wait Staff, meaning we get to make up our own character and wait on tables. It's a lot of fun. I decided my character is named Connie and her dream in life is to be the perfect housewife... and she thinks that dream will come true now that she's met "Roger." She spends her time dreaming about her wedding (wonder where I got that inspiration!) and tells everyone that she's almost engaged (even though she and Roger only really danced one dance together at the Do-Wop Hop)... It's been a lot of fun, though definitely challenging at times. I've never been part of a play at all, and I've only ever really done a couple of skits. And this whole imrov thing is pretty much all new to me. But yeah, as I said, it's a lot of fun. And we get to dance in it! The music is all 50s music and it's so much fun - if not a workout, though! Every practice, we're all just sweating buckets from all the jumping, kicking, 'chugging' (a fifties dance move with a partner), skipping, twisting, not to mention the quick chassés and relevés we have to do... And all in character! But yeah, it's been a ton of fun. (And I'm telling you, I'm going to be so in shape at the end of this!) Though, as I said, it's not left much room for socializing. And I can't believe how much I've missed in Syd's life recently... They're moving into their condo in a couple of months and have already bought all the furniture, Keegan's sister Kiera moved out into an apartment, and Syd has also decided on a new career and starts school next semester. I joked that I better not have missed the wedding, too, now! Haha. But she assured me I hadn't. :P Though, we really do need to get this ball rolling.... If only life wasn't so hectic. How does one plan a wedding amidst all this craziness?
What else is new? Welllll.... despite my best efforts, I like someone kind of at the moment... Let's call him Tristen. He's just really sweet and lots of fun. But we'll see what happens, if anything. With my track record, I'm not counting on it!
