Hmm... Life.

So... life. Yeah. It's crazy sometimes. But you already knew that. I don't even know where to begin. It's been... well, crazy, a bit, this last little while. Some good, some bad, some meh. But this is a song I've recently had stuck in my head. Thought I'd share it with ya.

THE ONLY EXCEPTION - Paramore

When I was younger
I saw my daddy cry
And curse at the wind
He broke his own heart
And I watched
As he tried to reassemble it

And my momma swore that
She would never let herself forget
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love
If it does not exist

But darling,
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

Maybe I know, somewhere
Deep in my soul
That love never lasts
And we've got to find other ways
To make it alone
Keep a straight face

And I've always lived like this
Keeping a comfortable, distance
And up until now
I had sworn to myself that I'm
Content with loneliness

Because none of it was ever worth the risk

Well, you, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

I've got a tight grip on reality
But I can't
Let go of what's in front of me here
I know you're leaving
In the morning, when you wake up
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream

Ohh---

You, are, the only exception
(x8)

And I'm on my way to believing
Oh, And I'm on my way to believing

Just a short little post.

I can't sleep and so I thought I'd update my blog before I try to go back to bed. It's been a while since I've done so, and I've had this picture for a while. I thought it was a good example of different bridesmaid dress styles. For Sydnee's wedding, we were thinking that we might do a similar thing for the bridesmaids (but all in the same colour, of course), if we buy the dresses from a bridal store. Syd is actually trying to get us all together to go shopping, considering her wedding is less than 6 months away! (Yikes! How did the Six-Month Mark pop up so fast?) Unfortunately, though, she suggested going on Sunday, but since my play is coming up, our rehearsal times have been increased... and guess which day is going to be full of play and dance practice? Yup, Sundays. Which kindda sucks. Because I love dress shopping! And weddings, of course, if you couldn't tell. Haha. And Sydnee, too, of course! :) But, it sucks especially because the extra rehearsal is just being added in. If we had gone last Sunday, it would have been totally fine. I feel like I'm ditching the gang, but I know that there will be other opportunities for me to try on dresses. The play will be over in a month and I won't have to worry about that anymore.
But, wow... Time is going by so fast. I can't believe in less than half a year, one of my best friends will be a Mrs! ...It's so exciting!!! :)

I had this post in my drafts...

I started this post a little while ago, but then I got distracted and never posted it. Here you go!

Just got back from a lovely coffee date with Shell. So much fun! :) We talked about so many things: weddings, weddings, weddings... Oh yeah, and a few other things. ;) Haha. Just kidding. That's not all we talked about. But the subject did come up. We were talking about different proposals, for one. So many crazy, wonderful, creative ideas. Shell heard of one guy once tying the ring to a balloon and giving it to the girl he wanted to ask. But she didn't realize the ring was on the balloon and let go of it when he finally popped the question! Could you believe it?? Crazy. I think when a guy finally pops the question to me, I just want something romantic and meaningful. Not gimicky, but not too simple. I want it to be thoughtful. Special. But, I guess the proposal doesn't matter as much as the guy does! Haha.

Sometimes, I think about what qualities I look for in a man. Someone I know did that, putting "handyman" at the top of her list. And guess what? She met a man a few months later who was definitely a handyman! Haha. But I often pray for the man I'm going to marry. Is that strange? A bit? Especially since I don't know who he is? I wonder where he is at this exact moment. Does he ever think of me? Or do guys not even concern themselves with silly questions like that? Sometimes, I wonder if I know him already. Abbey-Shae and I were talking a while back, wondering about the concept of "the One." Does everyone have a "the One?" Because some people seem to have many. And some none at all. The conclusion I came to is that I think that the person we marry is based on destiny, that God has the perfect person in mind for us. But I also think, as a people given free-choice, our decisions have a huge impact on our future. Like our future is constantly changing and only God knows where it will end up. Does that make sense at all? I don't know. I think about this way too much, I think.

Marriage is in my future, I'm sure. I just don't know when or how. But I do know that I trust my Father. He will guide me down the right path. My choice is to listen to His voice and follow Him.

Anyways. Just some random musings. I really did have a lovely time with Shell. I'm so grateful to have her and my other friends in my life!

Chuck.

As I posted on New Years, I've been watching the show Chuck recently. It's sooo funny; one of my favourite shows at the moment. I love the character of Chuck especially. He's played by Zachary Levi, who also voiced Flynn Rider in Disney's new movie Tangled (LOVED that movie by the way! I saw it twice because I loved it so much! Highly recommend it). The show is about this twenty-something-year-old guy named Chuck Bartowski. He's a pretty regular guy. He works at a Buy More (which is basically like Future Shop or Best Buy) as a "Nerd Herder," fixing computers. But then, one day, he gets an email from Bryce Larkin, his old college roommate whom he hates. Bryce got him kicked out of Stanford and stole his girlfriend five years ago. But in his email to Chuck are encrypted government secrets... and upon Chuck seeing them, the images are 'downloaded' into Chuck's brain. So, now, he has all this top secret information in his brain, and has to become a spy. It's sooo cleverly done, and I just love the character growth. I'm already all caught up on the seasons and I can't wait until next Monday when the next episode is on. But below is a picture of one of the wedding of two of the characters. I loved their wedding so much; it was really beautiful! But yeah, I highly recommend the show. Watch it! :)

Pink, Whaddya Think? :)

One colour I've always loved for weddings is pink. I think it's just really sweet. Like, look at this picture below. Lovely. :)

Recently, I've started liking this kind of salmon pink/sherbet orange colour, too, though I would never use it myself.

The picture below is just soooo gorgeous, I think. I love everything about it. The dresses, the bouquets... I don't know - pink is just so happy and cheery! Don't you think?

I found a similar style dress online at J Crew. LOVE IT. It comes in a myriad of available colours. Isn't it gorgeous? I think this could make a great bridesmaid dress, because you really could wear it again!

And, as I said, it comes in a lot of colours. Here are a few:

What do you think of pink?

There's Something in the Water, I Think...

I'm telling you! Lately all I've heard is people getting married and having babies suddenly! (Well, not suddenly haha.) But someone I know, the choreographer of all the dances for the play I'm in, just got married. (Truthfully, I didn't even know she was engaged. And I thought she and the man she married were broken up! I guess not haha.) She had a really unique wedding, by the looks of it. It was pirate-themed and she wore this really cool red pirate-y dress. Then, someone I know just had a baby, a little boy named Evan. And Rosie's sister gave birth to a little girl the same day. Then, the head counsellors of the camp I go to every summer just got pregnant. Another woman I know, who actually was my counsellor twice at the same camp, is pregnant and due in about a month. Another woman who was in my cabin at a different camp just had a baby girl named Natalia about a month ago. And someone else, a girl from my grad class, is going to have her baby any day now. Wow, I'm telling you - it's in the water! (HAHAHA I just said that to my sister and she said, "that's awkward. I'm not drinking anything then." HAHAHA.)

Happy New Year!

Just a shout out to tell you all HAPPY NEW YEAR!
...I'm spending it in bed, watching Chuck, Season 1, because I'm sick at the moment. :( But hope you all are partying it up for me.
